By the river of Byske in the
memorable HÅLLHÄGNEN you will find Byske Sportfishingmuseum
with the worlds largest collection of fishing- reels available for visitors. Here you may find sportfishing equipment from 1845 onwards. Most of the production of ABU, from Record 1500 with the agate bearings and the “green seagrass” box to the very rare 14 ft. tube-built steel Salmon rod. Arjon, Trojan, Ryds, Victory, Radius and River are some of the other Swedish products. Hardy, Milward, Carter from England and the vom Hofe brothers, Hendryx and H L Leonard from USA just to mention some of the foreign products. Gunnar Westrin, the famous Swedish author, donated his self-built split-cane rod, used on his fishing journeys around the world. Here is a small café and also an outdoor space, you may enjoy the mighty rush of the stream. |

Här finns också ABU-spön från Record 1:an med värjeklinga till 14 fots rörbyggt stållaxspö. Trojan, Victory, Ryds och andra svensktillverkade produkter. Hardy, Milward, H. Leonard, Turnbull Carter, A&N, Hörgård & vom Hofe. Nytt för i år är författaren, storfiskaren GunnarWestrins egenhändigt byggda splitcanespö som varit med på alla hans resor världen över. Över 1000 rullar, många helt unika. Här finns även ett sommar-Café med uteservering för den som vill njuta av den mäktiga forsens brus. |
